Brief description:
"The GMC lists the duties of a doctor as including to “protect and promote the health of patients and the public”: this places environmental threats to health firmly within the medical domain. Weaving our way between health scare and reasonable concern, this SSC offers you an opportunity to explore the links between environmental issues and human health. We will also look at a variety of creative responses to environmental concerns and the barriers that might stand in the way of their enactment. This lends itself to a medical approach: diagnosis, prognosis and treatment."
